About

IMG_4332Hi! I’m Julia and I live in DC with my fantastic husband.  We recently bought a 1910 rowhouse and I wanted a place to chronicle all of the work we have been doing to update, furnish and decorate it, instead of just emailing people pictures. I love making and remaking things, as well as encouraging and helping my friends to do the same.

I think that handmade or hand made-over things give a lot of character to a room, but that there is a fine line between making your space look interesting and looking well, DIY’d. To that end, I’ll be sharing projects, as well as interesting things I find and the odd beautiful, new thing I buy and don’t tweak in the slightest. There are some things in this world that should never see gold paint.

So with that, fire up your drills, pull on your flea market boots and start saving your pennies for fabulous wallpaper, and come with me while I make this house ours!

XO,

Julia

  1. Hi Julia!

I’m a fellow PA ’04 alum, and I just found your blog through the shout-out you had in the PA Alumni magazine! It looks fantastic! Such cool ideas. I’m loving the painted oyster shell 🙂
